Celtic reserves lead the way
Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce took the night off. And Marquis Daniels (stomach ailment) and Rasheed Wallace (mild right ankle sprain) missed much of the action.
But the Celtics' reserves, plus Kendrick Perkins and Rajon Rondo, had a strong second-half showing in taking an 89-88 lead over the New Jersey Nets Tuesday night in Newark, N.J.
Eddie House's jumper gave the Celtics a one-point lead with 32 seconds remaining.
