Celtics 100, Nets 93, End of Game: Paul Pierce was on the floor for 29 minutes, scoring 25 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Eddie House and Marquis Daniels shined for the second unit. House scored 13 points off the bench with three rebounds and three assists. Daniels added 9 points on 3-of-5 shooting. Kevin Garnett played 21 minutes, scoring 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting

Celtics 60, Nets 52: Paul Pierce was a busy body in the first four minutes, drilling a 16-footer and a 14-footer, then swishing a three-ball. He upped his point total to a game-high 21.

Celtics 47, Nets 46, Halftime: Paul Pierce has a game high 14-points at the break. He also has a game-high 17 minutes, spending some time with the second unit midway through the quarter. He's 4-of-6 from the floor, 5-of-6 from the line. Garnett hit five of his seven shots and pulled down five boards. He missed his last shot of the half, a jumper from just inside the three-point line, but he was pleased Kendrick Perkins for being able to spot him from a double team on the opposite post.

Celtics 36, Nets 34, 6:11 Second Quarter: Rivers continues to work Brian Scalabrine at small forward. Marquis Daniels is a trouble-maker. He rebounds, comes up with steals, makes easy baskets, makes smart passes. The way Rasheed played with the first unit, Perkins played some with the second.

Nets 27, Celtics 25, 8:44 Second Quarter: Hometown kid Will Blaylock checked in for the Nets. He was drafted by Detroit out of Iowa State, then drifted overseas. New Jersey invited him to their camp. He's one of four points guards on the Nets roster.

Nets 23, Celtics 22, End of First Quarter: Ray Allen and Paul Pierce stayed in the game up until the 56 second mark. Kevin Garnett came out after nine minutes. He knocked down all four of his shots (8 points) and grabbed four rebounds.

Celtics 14, Nets 13, 4:47 First Quarter: Rasheed Wallace clocks and gets a nice ovation. Five seconds later he fouls Brook Lopez. *Worth noting* The lineup on the floor is Wallace, Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Rondo.

Celtics 12, Nets 12 5:40 First Quarter: Kevin Garnett scored the Celtics first two buckets, getting a friendly bounce on a long jumper from the right elbow, then coming back and scoring down low with an up-and-under on Yi Jianlian. Rajon Rondo came out aggressive, firing an open jump shot, though it fell short.
