pierce%28125%29.JPG INDIANAPOLIS -- Celtics captain Paul Pierce will play tonight. Pierce sustained a left knee bruise in a 97-86 loss to the Hawks last night. He will occupy his usual spot in the starting lineup alongside Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Kendrick Perkins.

“The knee is a little tender but I’m just going to rest it and, usually, it kicks in when you slow down,’’ Pierce said Friday night. “So, hopefully it’s not too bad and I’m just going to see how it feels tonight.

More to come.
