The Celtics held Milwaukee to just 3 points in the final 4:51 seconds of Tuesday night's win over the Bucks, and limited them to 37.5 percent shooting for the fourth quarter. That defensive intensity turned out to be the difference in the game.

"I think when we were in our last timeout we said there were three minutes on the clock and we needed to buckle down," said Celtics captain Paul Pierce. "Those are the things we work on in practice. We always say we want to close games out."

Every team desires to close games out, but it takes execution to make it happen (look at the Patriots in the last few weeks). For the Celtics, closing games out is about running their offense.

"We have certain plays that we want to run," said Pierce. "Especially when we put the ball in [Rajon] Rondo's hands."
