Welcome to TD Garden, where the Celtics (16-4) will take on the Bucks (9-10) at 7:30 p.m.
Brandon Jennings. Brandon. Jennings. You excited yet? The hype surrounding this game has clearly surrounded this young Bucks guard, who is (gasp) warming up on the parquet as I type this. It's hard to argue with the results so far this season: 21.8 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game for the rookie. His showdown with Rajon Rondo is the reason people are actually excited seeing Milwaukee on the schedule tonight.
A couple of interesting observations on the Celtics' end. With Marquis Daniels (thumb) out tonight, Boston will be down one potential Jennings-stopper. Who'll fill that role? Tony Allen, who is scheduled to return tonight, is out on the court warming up right now. But while Allen might return to game action tonight, to except him to have any kind of impact on Jennings is asking a bit much.
Speaking of returns from injuries, Glen Davis was just out doing some pretty intense, basketball-related activities. Davis practiced reverse layups with his off, non-injured hand (his left), but he did take a few shots from close range with that right hand, which is still in a cast. It looks like Davis intends to get back into game shape even if he's not fully healed.
Paul Pierce, Rondo, and Sheldon Williams are all out warming up. The Celtics should be fresh, at home, coming off their great road trip. If not for the presence of Jennings, this could even be a trap game.
Not much chance the Celtics are overlooking this one, though.
