The Celtics face the 3-34 Nets in a game they need to win. It's the first of a back-to-back but the young and energetic Nets won't fold easily, it will be a difficult game.

NOTES

*Rasheed Wallace is out with a foot injury. He said it's an "age" thing and it swelled during the fourth quarter of the Toronto game. He is likely to also miss Thursday's game with Chicago.

*Kevin Garnett made the trip but wasn't in a talkative mood. "There's nothing to talk about," he said. He will miss another week.

*The Nets waived Sean Williams (Boston College) and replaced him with former Memphis standout Shawne Williams, who is inactive.
