Final, Celtics 112-106

Ray Allen hits two free throws, Paul Pierce steals a pass and runs out the clock as the Celtics pull off perhaps their most impressive win over the season given their deficit (11) in the fourth quarter. Game MVP is Rajon Rondo, who finished with 25 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds in 50 minutes coming off missing the last game with a strained left hamstring.

Overtime, 17.8, Celtics 110-106

The amazing Rajon Rondo just hit another streaking layup. Rondo has 25 points. Celtics get a defensive stop and Ray Allen has been fouled.

Overtime, 51.3, Celtics 108-106

Dwyane Wade hits a stepback 3-pointer and now the Heat are within one possession.

Overtime, 59.4, Celtics 108-103

The Celtics respond with a flurry with a Ray Allen driving layup, a defensive stop and a Rajon Rondo streaking layup for a five-point lead. Miami ball.

Overtime, 2:07, Celtics 104-103

A defensive-filled overtime so far but Kendrick Perkins sinks a free throw to put Boston ahead by one point with Miami ball. Dwyane Wade has 41 points but if the Celtics lose they will blame lack of defensive rebounds and turnovers on the defeat. Miami had 15 offensive rebounds in regulation.

End of regulation, Tied at 101

In one of the more brilliant plays in recent memory, Paul Pierce tosses a perfect alley-oop to Rajon Rondo for the tying basket. Rondo banked the ball in at the buzzer, sending the game into overtime.

Fourth quarter, 0.6, Heat 101-99

Ray Allen received the inbounds pass with Dwyane Wade in his shirt and he stole the ball cleanly and scored a breakaway dunk for the stunning lead. Celtics ball.

Fourth quarter, 5.5, Tied at 99

Jermaine O'Neal came back with a jumper and Paul Pierce threw up an airball on a terrible possession. Dwyane Wade raced to the basket, was fouled by Ray Allen and just hit two free throws to tie it. Celtics ball.

Fourth quarter, 53.1, Celtics 99-95

The Celtics are now on a 21-6 run and Ray Allen just swished a 3-pointer for a four-point lead. Allen has nine points during the surge while Rasheed Wallace scored 16 points with nine rebounds before fouling out. He was angry at his sixth foul but he was pulled away by teammates before getting a technical.

Fourth quarter, 2:03, Celtics 95-93

OK, so the Celtics score nine points in a span of 10 minutes and then come back with 17 in a span of six minutes and a 17-4 run gives them the lead. Rasheed Wallace scored five points in a stretch and Rajon Rondo just gave Boston the advantage with a pretty layup off the glass. Stay tuned.

Fourth quarter, 4:23, Heat 91-88

The Celtics are storming back with a 10-2 run, capped by five straight points by Ray Allen and it's going to go down to the final precious minutes. Dwyane Wade has 35 points for Miami while all five Boston starters have scored in double figures.

Fourth quarter, 7:34, Heat 89-78

The Celtics were actually ahead by eight points midway through the third quarter but they have managed nine points in a span of 10 minutes and now are in real trouble. Boston has made six field goals in the second half.

Fourth quarter, 9:48, Heat 85-77

The game is slipping away as the run grows to 24-8 since the 5:38 mark of the third quarter. Udonis Haslem is hurting the Celtics with his mid-range shooting and Mario Chalmers has hit two 3-pointers.

End of third quarter, Heat 78-75

The Heat ends the third quarter on a 17-6 run as the Celtics score just four points in the final 5:38 of the quarter. Dwyane Wade has 33 points but Udonis Haslem scored six points during the run. Kendrick Perkins has 19 but the Celtics have 20 turnovers, five each by Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce.

Third quarter, 3:24, Celtics 73-72

The Heat is on a 11-4 run and Dwyane Wade just hit a spinning, turnaround jumper to bring the Heat to within one. He has 31 points and the next-highest Heat player has 10. The Celtics are shooting 55 percentr from the field and Kendrick Perkins has 19 points.

Third quarter, 8:14, Celtics 63-59

Ray Allen is out of the game with four fouls and Michael Beasley just picked up his fourth foul as the Celtics continue to lead.

Halftime, Celtics 57-54

Boston plays a strong quarter of defense and led by as many as six before Dwyane Wade drained a 3-pointer with 5.6 seconds left to slice the lead to three. Wade has 25 points and the next highest scoring Heat player is Jermaine O'Neal with six. Kendrick Perkins has 17 points for the Celtics and Paul Pierce has eight points in 18 minutes.

Second quarter, 1:16, Celtics 50-49

The Celtics have come back in this game with good defense as the Heat is only 5 for 17 from the field in the quarter. Dwyane Wade has two points after an 18-point first period.

Second quarter, 5:15, Heat 44-43

Paul Pierce has just scored five straight points, including a 3-pointer that required some body english to fall through. Pierce has eight points while the Heat is 4 for 12 in the second period and Dwyane Wade still has 18 points.

Second quarter, 7:57, Heat 40-36

The Celtics' second team is holding its own and staying close, getting the starters some valuable rest. Dwyane Wade still has 18 points while Ray Allen has nine for Boston.

End of first quarter, Heat 35-30

If the Celtics can do something to stop Dwyane Wade, they may have a chance. He has 18 first-quarter points, most of them on Ray Allen and he made 8 of 12 shots. The Celtics are shooting 10 of 16 from the field but were held to just a 3-pointer from Allen in the final 2:50.

First quarter, 2:50, Tied at 25

Paul Pierce looks strong in his early minutes and Kendrick Perkins already has six points. Dwyane Wade has 10 for Miami, which doesn't seem quite right. The Celtics have hit nine of their first 12 shots.
