Welcome to TD Garden, where the Boston Celtics (40-22) will take on the Memphis Grizzlies (33-31) at 7:30 p.m.
The Grizzlies are the kind of young, athletic team that can give the Celtics fits. Boston is likely to be at least a little tired coming off last night's loss in Milwaukee, a game the Celtics had many chances to win. At the very least, Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, and company should provide for an entertaining game here tonight.
It's hard to take anything significant from the last game these two teams played, a 110-105 Celtics win in Memphis on Dec. 14. At that time the Celtics became the first team in the league to win their 20th game. Since then, the Celtics have struggled through injuries. Memphis big man Hasheem Thabeet, the No. 2 pick in the draft, has been down to the NBA's Developmental League and back. Eddie House is gone, and Nate Robinson and Michael Finley have arrived. It'll be fun to see what happens tonight.
The Celtics are on the parquet right now prepping for the Grizzlies. We'll be back with updates as soon as we get access to the team.
