As expected the NBA stepped in and fined Kevin Garnett for his post-game statements following Wednesday's 109-104 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Garnett told reporters after the game, "I thought we were playing Michael (bleeping) Jordan tonight the way he was getting the whistle, Durant damn near shot more free throws than our whole team."

Durant shot 15 free throws to the Celtics' 17. Garnett also said of Durant, "“He has what seems to be a young core, a much better core than I did (in Minnesota). I think it is going to remain to be seen if they can all stay together, and keep this young core together. But he seems to be handling it fine, they seem to all play together, share the ball, they system works for him."
