Final Wizards 106-96
What more can be said about this one? The Celtics were awful until it was too late and not even a 42-point fourth quarter could salvage this one. An embarrassing performance and not sure how any Celtics fan can be anything but discouraged.

Fourth quarter, 30.2, Wizards 101-93
Nate Robinson almost personally got the Celtics back into the game with eight straight points while the starters sit. It's too late but Robinson may have earned some playing time.

Fourth quarter, 1:39, Wizards 93-78
The Wizards withstood every Celtics charge and will leave TD Garden with a well-earned win against a team with so many questions that no one can figure out what to expect on a nightly basis. Losses this week are to Washington and New York, two teams with nothing to play for. Do the Celtics want success badly enough?

Fourth quarter, 3:28, Wizards 88-73
The Celtics cut the lead to 12 (83-71) and then the Wizards respond with five straight points and are playing with more composure than last month when they blew a 13-point lead with six minutes left.

Fourth quarter, 6:03, Wizards 80-66
Celtics are trying to charge but they need 3-pointers and so far they are 5 for 17 from beyond the arc, including 3 for 11 from Ray Allen and Michael Finley.

Fourth quarter, 10:11, Wizards 75-60
Celtics begin fourth quarter as they did the third with spurt and Washington coach Flip Saunders calls time out. The Celtics need some stops and fastbreak points to make this interesting.

End of third quarter, Wizards 75-54
Celtics needed an explosive third quarter to make a run and end up breaking even with the Wizards, who are just slicing and dicing Boston defense. Celtics had a bunch of chances to get stops and spark momentum but couldn't do it.

Third quarter, 2:28, Wizards 71-49
Celtics have basically wasted the third quarter trading baskets with the Wizards are they are on a 5-0 run after a Ray Allen 3-pointer and Rasheed Wallace dunk. Celtics are close to a 20-point quarter. Happy Days are here again.

Third quarter, 7:09, Wizards 64-39
Celtics start off third quarter with 6-2 spurt but Wizards respond with 10-2 run and the Celtics are farther off than they were at halftime. It's an embarrassing performance at the least and could cost them a playoff seed as Atlanta is beating Toronto.

Halftime, Wizards 52-31
Celtics end quarter on a 12-5 run to save some pride but it was still perhaps the worst half of the season in a season of plenty of low points. The Celtics are shooting 30 percent while Kendrick Perkins and Ray Allen each has seven points. Andray Blatche has 15 for Washington and Nick Young has 14.

Second quarter, 24.1, Wizards 52-31
Celtics give the fans some life with 7-0 run but Nick Young responds with 3-pointer and the Wizards appear ready to hold the lead. Celtics shooting 30 percent from the field

Second quarter, 4:32, Wizards 47-19
Andray Blatch goes on a personal 7-0 run and this is starting to get ridiculous. Blatche already has 15 points and the Celtics have two points in the quarter. two! They are 1 for 9 in the period. Not sure what Doc Rivers can do here.

Second quarter, 5:53, Wizards 40-19
Celtics go 7:35 without scoring and are shooting less than 26 percent in what has been a putrid performance so far. The bench is 1 for 9 from the field while Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce is 2 for 11. Meanwhile the Wizards are sparkling with 11 points from Nick Young and 10 from Shaun Livingston.

Second quarter, 8:36 Wizards 34-17
Celtics haven't scored since 2:40 left in the first period and they look ragged. They are 7 for 27 from the field and the bench is 0 for 6. Meanwhile, the Wizards have gotten 29 combined points from Shaun Livingston, Nick Young and Andray Blatche and are in total control.

End of first quarter, Wizards 30-17
The Wizards end the quarter on a 15-2 run and the Celtics are once again getting spanked by a team that is playing players that weren't even on their radar two months ago. The boo birds are out after Nick Young banks in a 3-pointer at the buzzer. He has 11 points and Andray Blatche has nine.

First quarter, 3:07, Wizards 18-15
The Celtics don't have the energy they should after a day off with a tough game at Milwaukee coming up tomorrow. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are a combined 1 for 7 from the field with two points. Shaun Livingston has six for Washington, which just inserted JaVale McGee, who had a major impact on the previous meeting with his blocked shots.

First quarter, 5:45, Wizards 13-12
The Wizards have started 6 for 11 while the Celtics are 5 for 12. Andray Blatche has scored the last four points for Washington. Watch his matchup with Kevin Garnett, who unnerved him with some trash talk in the last meeting.

First quarter, 6:35, Celtics 12-11
The Wizards don't have the same energy they did last month when they basically dominated the Celtics for 3 1/2 quarters but they are hanging in. Shaun Livingston has four points and Ray Allen has four for Boston.
