Howard foul upgraded to Flagrant 1
Dwight Howard's foul at the 6:25 mark in the third quarter of Game 4 has been upgraded to a Flagrant 1 foul, Howard's second of the series. If Howard is hit with two more Flagrant 1 fouls in this series he will be served with a one-game suspension.
On the play in question, Howard was called for an offensive foul after getting a rebound, bringing the ball down, and elbowing Kevin Garnett in the face.
"He got a rebound and pivoted," said Magic coach Stan Van Gundy. "I didn't see [the foul]. I saw the play, but I didn't see [the foul]."
Said Doc Rivers, "I thought it was flagrant. The bottom line whenever you throw elbows above the head, for the most part it's going to be called a flagrant."
