KG, Perkins miss practice with injuries
Celtics coach Doc Rivers is now grateful there are three full days between Games 2 and 3 because two of his main cogs in the middle missed Wednesday practice with injuries.
Kevin Garnett sustained a right mid-foot strain near the end of the Celtics' 104-86 Game 2 victory and was held out of practice. Rivers said Garnett wanted to practice but Rivers insisted he sit. Garnett is expected to play Friday in Game 3.
"Honestly today, if we had a game, I don't think he could have played," Rivers said. "We just have to wait and I doubt he practices [Thursday] and we'll see. Perk will be all right."
Perkins played through his injury -- a hyper-extended right knee -- in Game 2 and was suited up for practice but left early for some treatment. Rivers said Perkins will practice Thursday.
Garnett is questionable for practice Thursday. He didn't appear to be favoring any injuries following Game 2.
