It will be one of the lasting images of the 2010 NBA Finals: Glen "Shrek" Davis letting out a primal scream while Nate "Donkey" Robinson jumped on his back.

The Celtics were on the verge of going down three games to one against the Lakers last night at the Garden until they got a big boost from Davis, Robinson, Rasheed Wallace, and Tony Allen during a dramatic fourth quarter rally in Game 4.

They Celtics were ultimately able to tie the NBA Finals with a 96-89 victory, primarily on the back, literally, of Davis, and Robinson, who together sparked the fourth quarter surge. Davis and Robinson combined to score 30 points and five rebounds during the late Boston run.

Robinson brought the house down during his postgame interview with Davis when he said, "we're like Shrek and Donkey. You can't separate us."

“I just felt like a beast,’’ Davis said. “Really, I’m going to be honest with you. I just felt like I couldn’t be denied — rebound. If a rebound was in my vicinity, or like if the ball was going to be held up, you know, I just felt like I just couldn’t be denied.

“There’s not too many times you get a chance to be in the Finals and be a part of something so great that you can never really imagine yourself even being here. I just couldn’t be denied today.’’

During a fourth quarter fight for a loose ball, Davis ran down the court like a man possessed, letting out a primal scream and drooling all over himself a bit. Then Robinson jumped on his back creating an iconic moment for the Celtics in Game 4. If you missed it, take a look at the NBA.com video below:
