Perkins to have ACL surgery Monday
Celtics president Danny Ainge said today center Kendrick Perkins is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right anterior cruciate ligament on Monday, nearly four weeks after he injured the knee during Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Doctors suggested Perkins allow the swelling to subside in the knee before surgery.
He is expected to return to action in perhaps February.
