Report: Warriors to sign Harvard's Lin
Jeremy Lin, an undrafted free agent out of Harvard who impressed many during a Summer League stint with the Dallas Mavericks, will sign with the Golden State Warriors, Lin's agent Roger Montgomery told the Dallas Morning News. Lin drew strong interest from the Mavericks, as well as the Los Angeles Lakers, but Montgomery said Lin's decision came down to being close to his hometown of Palo Alto, Calif.
"That's every player's dream," Montgomery told the paper.
Lin played four years at Harvard and was a unanimous first team All-Ivy League selection. A point guard who figures to play a backup role with the Warriors, Lin averaged 16.4 points and 4.4 assists in his senior season with the Crimson.
