Doc Rivers' son, Austin, picks Duke
Talent runs deep in the Rivers household.
Austin Rivers, son of Celtics coach Doc Rivers, has orally committed to Duke University, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Rivers, a 6-4 senior and shooting guard for Winter Park high school in Florida, was one of the top recruits in the country and impressed scouts in the past year at different basketball tournaments, including the annual Spalding Hoophall Classic in Springfield. He had originally committed to Florida, but reneged on that decision earlier this year.
