The Celtics will be really shorthanded today against the Hornets because Rajon Rondo will not play, joining Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins and Delonte West.

Coach Doc Rivers said Rondo tried giving it a go on his sprained left ankle before the game but wasn't ready. The Celtics play next Sunday against the Toronto Raptors.
