Welcome to TD Garden, where the Boston Celtics will take on the Atlanta Hawks at 8 p.m.

Rajon Rondo is out tonight and beyond with a sprained left ankle, this according to Danny Ainge, who updated Rondo's status this afternoon on WEEI. We'll of course ask Doc Rivers about the injury before the game, but knowing Doc, don't expect much more of an update than that for a few days. Without Rondo, Nate Robinson is the likely starter at point guard.

Rondo's injury might have been something of a blessing if Delonte West wasn't injured. It would have given West a chance to run the team along with Robinson. Now Robinson is faced with the unenviable task of being the team's only point guard, barring the sudden emergence of Avery Bradley. Ray Allen can handle the ball, as can Marquis Daniels, but the Celtics are better off with Robinson as the energy guy off the bench. Given the team's other injuries, to Shaquille and Jermaine O'Neal, Kendrick Perkins, and West, it would be surprising to see the Celtics' 11-game winning streak continue for too long without Rondo.

Benbow and Washburn are on the second night of a back-to-back, but I've got fresh legs and will try to give them an assist and keep you updated tonight as best I can.

More to come.
