Final: Bulls 90, Celtics 79

Final, Bulls 90-79 Celtics led 60-56 but fell apart and Derrick Rose took over the game but he also attempted a career-high 19 free throws.

Fourth quarter, 2:17, Bulls 85-76 Celtics are slipping fast and need a major run in the next minute to make this interesting. It's been a frustrating night all around with poor shooting, lots of fouls and a dominant night from Derrick Rose (31 points).

Fourth quarter, 4:57, Bulls 80-70 Celtics can't win shooting 37 percent, especially when the opposing team has already attempted 33 free throws. Derrick Rose is taking over the game with 31 points, including consecutive jumpers for a 10-point lead,

Fourth quarter, 8:53, Bulls 71-65 One thing is for certain: the Celtics are poor offensively with Rajon Rondo on the bench. Nate Robinson has zero assists in 11 minutes and Rondo is back in the game after another listless stint from Roninson. Meanwhile, Glen Davis just took an elbow to the mouth from Carlos Boozer and is seething.

End of third quarter, Bulls 67-64 The Celtics simply have to stop fouling. They sent Derrick Rose to the line 10 times in the quarter and he has 19 attempts for the game. The Celtics have 14 as a team. Doc Rivers is beyond frustrated and all of his big men are in foul trouble besides Semih Erden.

Third quarter, 2:49, Celtics 62-60 The Celtics are trying to build a lead by they are in foul trouble again. Derrick Rose has attempted 15 free throws and the Celtics have 14. Ray Allen has 19 for Boston and Paul Pierce 18.

Third quarter, 5:45, Celtics 56-55 3-pointers by Paul Pierce and Ray Allen gave the Celtics the lead again but they can do nothing about Derrick Rose, who has 21 points and has already attempted 13 free throws. The Celtics have 10 attempts as a team.

Halftime, Bulls 46-42 The Celtics are being stymied by Chicago's defense and need to find a way for more transition baskets. Besides Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, the Celtics were 6-for-19 from the field in the first half and they are getting killed on the boards (26-15).

Second quarter, 2:42, Bulls 40-36 Celtics are trying to hang in despite shooting just 36 percent, a lot of those jumpers. Glen Davis and Shaquille O'Neal are a combined 2-for-8 and only Ray Allen's 12 points is the reason they are close. Carlos Boozer has nine points in the quarter, many of those on Davis.

Second quarter, 6:26, Bulls 32-30 Carlos Boozer has gone on a person 6-0 run, all of those on Glen Davis and the Celtics are enduring another scoring drought. The bench isn't providing any energy and Jermaine O'Neal just picked up his third foul.

Second quarter, 8:51, Celtics 28-26 Both teams are dramatically different with its point guards on the bench. The Celtics have gotten five quick points from Paul Pierce while the Bulls are a mess without Derrick Rose but have managed a jumper from C.J. Watson and a putback dunk from Omer Asik.

End of first quarter, Bulls 22-21 Celtics went ice cold midway throught he quarter and watched a 9-point lead waste away with a 14-4 Bulls run to end the quarter. Deriick Rose already has 12 points as he has been allowed to freely release his runners. No other Bull has more than three points. Ray Allen has 10 points for Boston but the rest of the celtics are 3-for-11 from the field.

First quarter, 2:14, Bulls 18-17 Chicago is on a 10-0 run with four of those points by Derrick Rose. The Celtics have missed some open shots and aren't getting help from the officials. The Bulls are already in the bonus. Boston is 1 for its past 7 from the field.

First quarter, 5:46, Celtics 15-8 Celtics off to a strong defensive start and seem to be the fresher team of the two. Both played last night, the Bulls were in Philadelphia. Ray Allen has eight points for Boston, which is 5-for-9 from the field. Shaquille O'Neal has made two nice passes already.

First quarter, 6:59, Celtics 12-6 The Celtics are starting off strong defensively, forcing Derrick Rose to pass the ball to teammates. Ray Allen already has 8 points.
