Final: Celtics 112, Cavaliers 95

Final, Celtics 112-95 Kendrick Perkins makes his return and finishes with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 16 minutes and Paul Pierce scores 24 points in 24 minutes as the Celtics cruise. J.J. Hickson had 12 points and 17 rebounds for Cleveland.

Fourth quarter, 2:56, Celtics 108-91 It's Gino Time at the Garden as this one is wrapped up. The Celtics have used their reserves for most of the second half. Kevin Garnett scored 10 points with five rebounds in 19 minutes. Von Wafer has 10 in 19 minutes.

Fourth quarter, 5:56, Celtics 104-84 The Cavaliers are keeping this respectable but the good news for the Celtics is that Doc Rivers was able to limit the minutes of the Big Three, Paul Pierce played 24, Kevin Garnett 19 and Ray Allen 26.

End of third quarter, Celtics 91-69 This is one of those games the Celtics want to end quickly and with good health. It's turned into a pickup game and the Cavaliers are making one-on-one plays to the basket while the Celtics are trying to maintain some offensive structure. Paul Pierce did not score in the third quarter and has 24 points while Ray Allen has 18.

Third quarter, 2:57, Celtics 85-65 The Cavaliers aren't quitting and the Celtics have slipped a little so this is still a competitive game. Ray Allen has 18 points and Kendrick Perkins has four points and four rebounds in 12 minutes. Christian Eyenga has 11 points, including a gorgeous reverse layup, for Cleveland.

Third quarter, 5:30, Celtics 78-59 The Celtics are not playing crisp ball and Cleveland is still giving a strong effort, causing Doc Rivers to call a time out to talk things over. Paul Pierce has 24 points for Boston while Ramon Sessions has 14 for Cleveland.

Halftime, Celtics 67-45 Paul Pierce has 24 points on just 12 shots while Kendrick Perkins has two points and four rebounds in nine minutes. Ray Allen has 11 for Boston while Antawn Jamison and Ramon Sessions each have 11 for the Cavaliers.

Second quarter, 3:19, Celtics 56-36 Kendrick Perkins just picked up his third assist with a nifty pass to Ray Allen to drained a second consecutive 3-pointer as the Celtics have ran off 10 straight points and the Cavaliers look fried. Perkins has 2 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in his return.

Second quarter, 8:54, Celtics 42-28 Cleveland seems to have lost its steam and the Celtics are beginning to use the game to play reserves and run plays. Paul Pierce has already poured in 17 points in 12 minutes while Rajon Rondo has seven points. Ramon Sessions has nine for Cleveland.

End of first quarter, Celtics 34-26 Paul Pierce scores the final 13 Celtics points of the quarter and Boston is trying to create some distance against a Cavs team that didn't play that badly in the first quarter. The Celtics defense slipped a little midway through the first quarter but the Cavs scored 4 points in the final 3 minutes of the quarter.

First quarter, 2:37, Cavaliers 23-21 Cleveland is on a 15-6 run and Antawn Jamison already has eight points and Ramon Sessions has seven. The Celtics are 2 for their past 8 from the field and Kendrick Perkins has two points, two assists and one rebound in five minutes.

First quarter, 6:41, Celtics 15-8 Celtics off to a fast start and they welcomed back Kendrick Perkins, who entered the game at the 8:02 mark and scored his first basket at 7:14, missing the free throw. Celtics have hit seven of their first 10 shots while the Cavaliers are 2 of 7.

First quarter, 9:30, Celtics 5-3 Christian Eyenga (a rookie from the Congo) starts off by draining a 3-pointer and the Celtics have responded with five straight points, including a jumper by Rajon Rondo.
