Final score, Mavericks, 101-97 Dallas scored the final 10 points of the game over a 2:22 span. Dirk Nowitzky started the run with a three-point play to cut the Maverick deficit to 97-94. Nowitzky clinched the result with two free throws with 2.2 seconds on the clock.

Fourth quarter, :02.5, Mavericks, 99-97 Jason Kidd hit an open 3-pointer out of a timeout.

Fourth quarter, 15.3, Celtics-Mavericks, 97-96 Kevin Garnett stole a Jason Kidd pass by overplaying Dirk Nowitzky. But Garnett then missed a jumper and Dallas called a timeout.

Fourth quarter, 1:24, Celtics, 97-94 The Celtics called timeout after a DeShawn Stephenson airball. Kendrick Perkins scored six points in a 5:13 span, giving the Celtics a 97-91 lead with 2:43 to go. Dirk Nowitzky converted a three-point play with 2:22 to go.

Fourth quarter, 8:46, Celtics-Mavericks, 83-83 Dallas regained the lead, 83-81, on Dirk Nowitzky's fadeaway 2:15 into the final quarter. Kendrick Perkins tied it 39 seconds later.

End of third quarter, Celtics-Mavericks 77-77 Dirk Nowitzky scored six points in the final 2:45, tying the score with a foul shot with 24 seconds to go.

Third quarter, 1:46, Celtics 77-75 The Celtics went on an 18-4 run over a 5:09 period. Ray Allen's foul shot made it 75-69 with 3:35 remaining in the third quarter, before the Mavericks rallied. Kevin Garnett produced a highlight defensive sequence, blocking a Jason Kidd jumper, then blocking a Dirk Nowitzky left-hander under the basket on the in-bounds play. The Celtics took the lead, 67-66, on Allen's jumper on the following possession.

Third quarter, 7:05, Mavericks 66-65 Paul Pierce's layup off a Ray Allen bounce pass capped an 8-1 Celtic run over a two-minute span and led to a Dallas timeout.

End of first half, Mavericks 54-51 Kendrick Perkins followed Kevin Garnett's miss at the buzzer for the Celtics. Dallas was able to find open shots from the perimeter early, thanks to the distribution and vision of guards Jose Berea and Jason Kidd. Dirk Nowitzky scored eight points, six in the final 6:55 of the half.

Second quarter, 2:25, Mavericks 50-47 Ray Allen missed a 3-point attempt with a chance to give the Celtics the lead. Jason Terry then hit a 3-pointer for a 50-45 Dallas edge with 4:05 remaining in the half. Allen then converted a one-hand banker.

Second quarter, 8:40, Mavericks 41-36 The Celtic reserves cut the deficit to three points, Marquis Daniels' follow making it, 39-36, with 9:28 remaining in the half.

End of first quarter, Mavericks 34-27 The Celtics pulled within five points of the lead as Nate Robinson hit a 3-pointer with :01 on the shot clock. But Jason Terry scored 10 seconds later, with 0.6 seconds on the clock, for Dallas.

First quarter, 1:37, Mavericks,28-22 The Mavs connected on five 3-pointers in taking a six-point lead. Kevin Garnett scored 12 points and the Celtics held Dirk Nowitzky to two points in the first 10:23 of play.
