FINAL Celtics 104, Wizards 88: The Celtics bounce back from their loss against Chicago last night to beat the Wizards. Rondo scores 20 points and has 14 assists. Paul Pierce scores a game-high 22 points and adds 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, the Bulls won tonight, meaning the Celtics are out of the hunt for the No. 1 seed.

Fourth quarter, 1:33, Celtics 98-85: Celtics have their largest lead of the night as they attempt to close this one out. Rondo has a double-double with 18 points and 13 assists.

Fourth quarter, 5:04, Celtics 89-83: Ugly play by McGee who went up for a big dunk and watched it clang off the rim. One of many chances the Wizards have squandered here late.

Fourth quarter, 6:45, Celtics, 87-83: Celtics starters are back in the game as the Wizards inch closer to the lead.

Fourth quarter, 9:03, Celtics, 85-79: Celtics come out of time out with Arroyo, Davis, Green, Pierce and Murphy on the floor.

Fourth quarter, 9:16, Celtics 85-79: Celtics guard Carlos Arroyo enters the game for the first time tonight.

Third quarter, 0:00, Celtics 83-75: This game may be a little closer if the Wizards were converting more of their free throws. Wizards are 17 of 26 from the free-throw line as they enter the fourth quarter. Neither team has done much from the 3-point line. Both teams are a combined 1 of 13 from the 3-point line.

Third quarter, 1:11, Celtics 81-74: Wizards score 6 unanswered points to shrink the deficit to single digits.

Third quarter, 10:29, Celtics 66-56: Kevin Garnett is fouled as he forces up a shot that remarkably falls through the hoop. He hits the free throw to give the Celtics a 10-point lead.

Halftime, Celtics 59-56: Wizards put together a strong finish to the second quarter to inch to within 3 points. The Celtics are shooting 59 percent (23 of 39), while the Wizards are shooting 52.5 percent (21 of 40). Wizards have three players in double figures with Blatche (14), Crawford (15) and Wall (10).

Second quarter, 1:49, Celtics 55-50: Krstic has scored six of last eight points for the Celtics. He leads the Celtics with 12 points so far.

Second quarter, 2:24, Celtics 53-48: JaVale McGee gets up and over Krstic to get an impressive dunk that even Celtics fans had to appreciate.

Second quarter, 6:36, Celtics, 43-37: Ray Allen hits a 3-pointer to give the Celtics a little bit of breathing room.

Second quarter, 7:54, Celtics, 38-37: The free baskets end up being the start of a run for the Wizards who are in the midst of an 8-0 run.

Second quarter, 8:54, Celtics 38-29: Celtics guard Delonte West is ejected as he picks up two technicals, apparently arguing a call. He leaves the game with 2 points, one assists and three fouls in six minutes.

Second quarter, 9:08, Celtics 38-29: Celtics getting getting points from the charity stripe as Pierce hits this fifth and sixth free throws of the period.

First quarter, 0.00, Celtics 28-23: So the Wizards have made this a game all of the sudden. Wall scores his first points of the game, driving to the basket with 7.4 seconds left to make it a 3-point game. But Glen Davis ends the period with a jumper to extend the lead to 5. Wizards forward Andray Blatche has a game-high 10 points.

First quarter, 2:42, Celtics 22-14: The Wizards are trying to keep the gap from getting out of control. John Wall, who is playing his first game at TD Garden, has 1 assist, 1 personal foul and no points.

First quarter, 6:36, Celtics 16-4: The Celtics aren't being challenged in the paint as Paul Pierce glides easily to the basket to give the Celtics 10 points in the paint.

First quarter, 7:15, Celtics 14-4: Rajon Rondo is in the midst of a nice start with 4 assists and 4 points. As Rondo fell out of bounds he sent a pass to Krstic who was trailing under the basket to give the Celtics a 10-point lead.

First quarter, 9:49, Celtics 6-2: Celtics start off strong, nice ball movement by the Celtics on last possession that ends with easy basket for Nenad Krstic. Wizards call a timeout.

First quarter, 11:41, Celtics 2-0: Ray Allen gets the Celtics on the board first with a jumper.
