Final, Heat 100-77: If you were looking for the Celtics to come to South Florida to get their swagger back, it ain't here. The Celtics were awful after a strong first 6 minutes are now in total disarray entering the playoffs. And they may have just earned a meeting with the New York Knicks in the first round.

Fourth quarter, 2:30, Heat 96-77: And Miami strikes back after Celtics cut the lead to 10. LeBron James has scored six straight points and has 27. But the storyline is the rebounding. The Celtics are getting pounded 40-25 and 18 Heat points have been scored on the second-chance variety.

Fourth quarter, 5:28, Heat 85-72: Doc Rivers is keeping the starters in the game for a reason. He wants some consistency. They are on a 9-0 run to make this game respectable and Ray Allen completes a rare 4-point play. He has 13 points.

Fourth quarter, 8:56, Heat 81-61: This one is done. The Celtics have been hit in the mouth and have no fight left. Miami has all the momentum and the Celtics have no offense and no rebounding. A demoralizing game so far.

End of third quarter, Heat 74-59: Big sequence at the end of the quarter. Rondo misses jumper with Celtics down 72-59 and then Nenad Krstic mishandled ball out of bounds on Mario Chalmers miss. LeBron James then sucks in defense and finds open Joel Anthony for bucket with 2.3 left. Celtics need monumental comeback in fourth quarter but they don't seem up to the task tonight.

Third quarter, 2:00, Heat 69-57: Celtics can't make up any ground on the Heat and need a big run. The problem is Miami is getting second-chance points and are able to get into the paint with no resistance. And Miami is getting every loose ball.

Third quarter, 7:30, Heat 58-46: This is slowly slipping away from the Celtics, who can't get into any offense while the Heat's secondary players are killing them. The Heat other than the Big Three have 28 points on 11-for-22 shooting. Mario Chalmers have nine points.

Halftime, Heat 47-40: Celtics are 6 for 19 from the field since starting 8 for 10 and they are having a tough time scoring. The problem is rebounding. The Heat have 24 to Boston's 10. 10! The Celtics have to hit the boards, that includes Jermaine O'Neal, who went reboundless in 9 first-half minutes.

2nd quarter, 1:49, Heat 47-37: The Celtics can't consistently score and are giving up way too many points in the paint. They are being out-rebounded 21-7 and the Heat have as many offensive rebounds as the Celtics have rebounds. Miami has 26 points in the paint.

2nd quarter, 5:21, Heat 37-32: The Celtics are being hurt by the Heat's secondary players. Mario Chalmers just scored five straight points while Joel Anthony has five points and six rebounds. Kevin Garnett, meanwhile, has 15 points but no one else has showed up. The Celtics have scored 10 points in the last 11:07.

2nd quarter, 7:50, Heat 29-28: The Celtics are just cold from the field, going scoreless in the last 4:28 of the first quarter and scoring one field goal in the first four minutes of the second. The culprit is the second unit, which looks confused. The early MVP for Miami is Joel Anthony with five points and five rebounds. Miami is killing the Celtics on the boards.

2nd quarter, 10:57, Heat 24-22: Chris Bosh puts the Heat ahead to start the second by 1 point. On the next posession Bosh is fouled and converts one of two free throws.

First quarter, 0:00, Celtics 22-21: The Celtics jumped out to an 11-2 lead but that didn't last long. Dwayne Wade ends the first quarter with a layup to push the Heat to within 1 point. Kevin Garnett had a team-high 11 points in the first quarter. Jermaine O'Neal played 4:58 in the first but only registered a turnover. ... LeBron James has a team-high 7 points, 1 steal, 2 assists.
