The Celtics appear to be planning to play without forward Jeff Green for the time being as the club has the test results, but he still has not been cleared to practice.

Green did not speak with the media before the team's practice session and team president of basketball operations Danny Ainge was vague when asked about his condition. Green was dressed in shorts and was taking shots before the session began but that's all he's been cleared to do.

The club said it will have more specific information tomorrow afternoon, but the news does not appear positive.

"I don't want to talk about that," Ainge told reporters. And Ainge was vague when asked whether the results were favorable.

OTHER NOTES

*Paul Pierce (sore right heel) is not going to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Toronto Raptors, Rivers said. Rivers has said all week that he is not placing any emphasis or importance on these two exhibition games.

*Rajon Rondo (sprained right ankle) said he was lobbying to return to practice today and is questionable for Sunday against the Raptors.
