Final: Celtics 81, Raptors 73

Final, Celtics, 81-73: The Celtics were never really threatened and sweep the two-game preseason set with the Raptors. Rajon Rondo led the Celtics with 17 points in 22 minutes while Brandon Bass added 12 and E'Twaun Moore 11. Andrea Bargnani led Toronto with 20 and DeMar DeRozan had 16.

Fourth quarter, 3:17, Celtics, 78-65: Michael Sweetney, once a lottery pick, scored his first preseason bucket as the Celtics are pulling away. E'Twaun Moore has 11 points off the bench.

Fourth quarter, 8:20, Celtics, 74-58: For those interested in preseason minutes distribution: Kevin Garnett has played 18 and Ray Allen 21.

End of third quarter, Celtics, 67-53: A 13-4 run to end the quarter has the Celtics back in control and the starters are getting some valuable rest. Brandon Bass has 12 points off the bench, including a nice drive and dunk in that late-period run. E'Twaun Moore has 9 points in six minutes.

Third quarter, 2:46, Celtics, 54-49: The bench is struggling in the third quarter and Toronto is chipping away at the Celtics' lead by inducing turnovers. The Celtics have 16 turnovers.

Third quarter, 6:10, Celtics, 52-42: The starters are now being replaced by the reserves as the Celtics continue to cruise. Rajon Rondo leads Boston with 17 points and six assists while Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass each have 8. Toronto is shooting 30 percent and is led by Andrea Bargnani with 14.

Halftime, Celtics, 47-31: The Celtics are cruising, using this game as a blueprint for the season opener against the Knicks. Rajon Rondo has been most impressive with 15 points and six assists. Kevin Garnett and Greg Stiemsma have 7 each and Brandon Bass has 8.

Second quarter, 3:14, Celtics, 41-24: Greg Stiemsma is making a strong case to stick around with 7 points in nine minuites on 3-for-5 shooting. Rajon Rondo leads Boston with 13 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds.

Second quarter, 7:57, Celtics, 27-16: The Celtics are using different rotations and are having little trouble with Toronto. A point of concern is Avery Bradley, who is already 0 for 5 shooting. Rajon Rondo has 10 points for Boston.

End of first quarter, Celtics, 22-13: Doc Rivers played 10 players in the first period and the Celtics look sharp, but then again it's the Raptors. Toronto is shooting 30 percent and has one player with more than 2 points: Andrea Bargnani (6).

First quarter, 3:35, Celtics, 18-9: Rajon Rondo has 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting and 2 assists as the Celtics appear in control. They are 8 of 12 shooting. Andrea Bargnani has 6 points for Toronto.
