Former Celtics assistant and current Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau expressed confidence this morning that his former team will be a factor in the Eastern Conference.

The 4-5 Celtics face the 10-2 Bulls tonight in what could be a critical game for Boston. The Celtics have the ninth-best record in the east.

"They're fine," he said. "I think tough schedule with (Paul) Pierce being hurt. The core of the team is intact. (Rajon) Rondo is a superstar now, so they have four star players. They got a great coach. So the adjustment is probably with the new guys on the bench. As Pierce gets healthy, the experience of their team, they'll be fine."
