Final score, Celtics, 100-92:Ray Allen scored 27 points and Kevin Garnett steadied the Celtic defense with a 12-minute stint in the final quarter.

Fourth quarter, :30.7, Celtics, 98-91:The Wizards' Andray Blatche
dunked out of a timeout, the Celtics shot an airball, and John Wall scored in the lane. But Paul Pierce hit a 3-pointer out of a timeout with three seconds on the shot clock.

Fourth quarter, 1:30, Celtics, 95-87:Ray Allen's sixth 3-pointer (in seven attempts) regained an eight-point advantage.

Fourth quarter, 4:29, Celtics, 89-80:Ray Allen hit a 3-pointer off another Kevin Garnett assist (his fifth) to cap a 9-4 Celtic run.

Fourth quarter, 6:32, Celtics, 82-76:The Celtics found an effective combination with Brandon Bass and Marquis Daniels joining starters Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Rajon Rondo. Bass capped a 10-2 run with a jumper off a pick-and-pop combination with Allen.

Fourth quarter, 8:39, Celtics, 75-74:The Celtic starters started filtering back into the game. Kevin Garnett passed up an open shot to assist Ray Allen's 3-pointer as the Celtics took the lead for the first time in the quarter.

End of third quarter, Wizards, 70-69:The Celtic starters struggled to take control, only Greg Stiemsma and Paul Pierce presenting an offensive threat for most of the quarter.

Third quarter, 2:20, Celtics, 67-66:The Celtics were going with the second unit for the final minutes of the quarter.

Third quarter, 4:55, Celtics, 63-62: Greg Stiemsma scored eight points in the opening five minutes of the half. Stiemsma converted twice from the baseline and once from the right elbow.

Halftime, Celtics, 48-47:Paul Pierce's 3-pointer with 14 seconds remaining in the half regained the lead for the Celtics. The Celtics led by as many as 8 points in the opening half, Ray Allen finishing with 16 points.

Second quarter, 5:56, Celtics, 37-34:

First quarter, 2:14, Celtics, 23-17:The Wizards upped their technical foul count to five in the first 8:12 of play with a defensive three-second call. The Celtics turned that sequence into a Ray Allen free throw, then a Rajon Rondo post-up on the in-bounds.

First quarter, 7:04, Celtics, 16-10: Washington coach Flip Saunders was ejected 66 seconds into the contest, after contesting a non-call on a Greg Stiemsma block. Ray Allen scored 10 points in the first 3:27 of play.
