Derrick Rose missed the Bulls' win over the Washington Wizards with a sprained big toe but he was able to participate in part of Chicago's shootaround this morning at TD Garden and coach Tom Thibodeau said he could play tonight against the Celtics.

Thibodeau did not make a firm decision and Rose did not talk to reporters, but it appears the Bulls may have their MVP guard for the showdown with Boston.

"We're hopeful," Thibodeau said. "He did some of the shootaround. He's feeling a lot better. He'll warm up tonight and we'll see if he can go."

Rose is averaging 20.6 points and 8.7 assists this season. Thibodeau said C.J. Watson and Richard Hamilton are also expected to miss the game.
