Final, Celtics 94-86: The Celtics spend the last three quarters staving off Washington rallies and hold on for a solid win. Kevin Garnett finished with 24 points and nine rebounds while Rajon Rondo collected his eighth regular-season triple double with 18 points, 14 assists, and 11 rebounds. Ray Allen added 13. Nick Young scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half for Washington.

Fourth quarter, 4:14, Celtics 91-77:Fourth quarter, 4:14, Celtics 91-77: Celtics have restored order after the Wizards got to within 7 points. Kevin Garnett is having the best game of the season with 20 points and nine rebounds while Rajon Rondo needs two rebounds for a triple-double -- he has 18 points and 13 assists. Ray Allen has 13 points and Paul Pierce a quiet 9 in 28 minutes.

Fourth quarter, 7:48, Celtics 80-73: Washington is on a 6-0 run as the Celtics can't seem to put the feisty Wizards away. They are committing silly turnovers in the second half and have lacked that killer instinct. The Wizards have played better defense and are looking to run at every opportunity. The Celtics bench was responsible for this latest Washington run.

End of third quarter, Celtics 73-60: Washington actually cut the deficit to 7 before the Celtics ended the quarter on an 8-2 run. Rajon Rondo carried the Celtics in the quarter and he has 16 points and 11 assists. Kevin Garnett has 14 points and nine rebounds while Paul Pierce has 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Nick Young scored 10 points in the quarter for the Wizards.

Third quarter, 2:19, Celtics 65-58: The Wizards have scored 24 points in 10 minutes after tallying 34 in 24 minutes in the first half. Nick Young has caught fire while the Wizards are taking advantage of poor Celtics shooting. The Green are 6 for 15 from the field in the quarter.

Third quarter, 5:43, Celtics 58-49: Boston is off to a slow start and the Wizards are pushing the ball and creating scoring opportunities. John Wall and JaVale McGee have combined for 27 points and 18 rebounds. The rest of the Wizards have essentially taken the night off.

Halftime, Celtics 51-34: Best half of the season for Boston, which shot 55.6 percent and got points from 10 players. Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 12 points and six rebounds while Rajon Rondo has 6 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds. John Wall and JaVale McGee have 20 of Washington's 34 points. The Wizards are shooting 28 percent.

Second quarter, 3:30, Celtics 44-27: Celtics respond with a run of their own and look as sharp as they have all season. Kevin Garnett has 12 points and six rebounds while Paul Pierce and Ray Allen each have 6 points. Rajon Rondo has eight assists in 14 minutes.

Second quarter, 7:38, Celtics 32-25: Sorry for the technical difficulties. Celtics have led most of the way but the Wizards are on a 6-0 run. Celtics are shooting 56 percent and gotten points from nine players, including Kevin Garnett with 6.
