Final, Mavericks 89-73: This game was not as close as the score indicates. The Celtics were just trying to field a competitive team after two injuries to Chris Wilcox and Jermaine O'Neal. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a roster move tomorrow because of the lack of depth.

Fourth quarter, 8:47, Mavericks 80-59: The Celtics are just trying to keep it respectable and play hard. That's what this season has been reduced to. Paul Pierce has 20 points for the Celtics.

End of third quarter, Mavericks 70-53: The Celtics are just trying to field a team right now as Jermaine O'Neal and Chris Wilcox both left the game with injuries. O'Neal has a sprained left wrist and Wilcox has a strained adductor muscle. The Celtics showed some list with a 11-2 run to cut it to 68-53 until Shawn Marion ended the period with an improbable tip of a Lamar Odom shot.

Third quarter, 8:45 Mavericks 54-36: Exactly what the Celtics wanted to avoid, an early Mavericks spurt to begin the quarter. Dallas on a 10-2 run and Dirk Nowitzki just drained an open 3-pointer after someone left him open off an inbounds pass. It's turning into a disaster here.

Halftime, Mavericks 44-34: Dirk Nowitzki already has 21 points, including 14 in the second quarter and the Celtics are lucky to be down just 10. The Celtics shot 40.5 percent with Paul Pierce scoring 11 points and Ray Allen and Avery Bradley 8. Outside of Nowitzki, the Mavericks are 10-for-26 shooting for 23 points.

Second quarter, 5:45, Mavericks 33-21: The Celtics can't win if they don't score and they have 21 points in 18:15, shooting 32 percent and missing a litter of open jumpers. The Mavericks are just playing better offensively and Dirk Nowitzki already has 13 points and Chris Wilcox three fouls.

End of first quarter, Mavericks 20-15: An ugly first period as expected with the Celtics shooting 30 percent and Dallas shootign 37.5. Chris Wilcox has already picked up two fouls on Dirk Nowitzki, who has 7 points. Paul Pierce and Avery Bradley each have 6 points but the rest of the Celtics are 1-for-9 shooting.

First quarter, 4:23, Mavericks 13-8: The Celtics are 4-for-13 shooting and Avery Bradley has hit three of those shots. The rest of the Celtics are 1-for-7 shooting. Dirk Nowitzki already has 7 points and Brendan Haywood has 4. Jermaine O'Neal already has three blocked shots.

First quarter, 6:39, Mavericks 10-6: Avery Bradley has already hit two jumpers but the rest of the Celtics have taken just four shots and Ray Allen has already missed two of those. Dirk Nowitzki already has 4 points but Jermaine O'Neal had a nice block of Vince Carter's dunk attempt.
