Successful return home for the Celtics, who used 23 points from Bradley and 21 from Pierce to coast past the Wizards.

4th quarter, 2:47, Celtics 86, Wizards 67: An 11-3 burst has finally put this one away. Pierce up to 21 points, and Rondo has finally scored, making two baskets in the run.

4th quarter, 5:53, Celtics 75, Wizards 64: Celtics doing just enough on the defensive end to not make this a tighter game. Wizards shooting 34 percent.

4th quarter, 8:50, Celtics 71, Wizards 58: Slow start to the quarter, with the Celtics not showing signs of pulling away, but the Wizards showing no ability to make this a game.

End of 3rd, Celtics 69, Wizards 55: Lethargy seems to be setting in a bit for the Celtics. Considering the lowly opponent, maybe not surprising. Rondo has six turnovers and no points, but 10 assists. Bradley (21 points) had the first second-half basket for the Celtics, which established a new career high.

3rd quarter, 5:09, Celtics 63, Wizards 47: After watching the Wizards get within 8 at 55-47, the Celtics have used a 8-0 run to push the lead back to 15. Pierce had a 3-pointer, then a three-point play in a 30-second span.

3rd quarter, 7:30, Celtics 55, Wizards 45: Don't look now, but the Wizards are creeping back into this game after being down 25. Wizards are on an 11-0 run, led by 6 points from John Wall and a three-point play by Jordan Crawford.

Halftime, Celtics 53, Wizards 34: Celtics got sloppy with the ball late in the second quarter, allowing the Wizards to end the half on a 10-4 run to make it not totally embarrassing. Bradley has 19 points, 1 fewer than his career high. Stiemsma has added 10 and a team-high 7 rebounds.

2nd quarter, 2:56, Celtics 49, Wizards 24: The expected bloodbath has commenced. These Wizards can't pass, can't shoot, don't defend. Other than that, aces.

2nd quarter, 6:37, Celtics 37, Wizards 20: Bradley finally missed a shot, misfiring on an 18-foot jumper. But Stiemsma's still perfect, with 8 points on 3-of-3 shooting. Wizards are actually getting hot, making their last four field-goal attempts.

2nd quarter, 9:40, Celtics 33, Wizards 12: Celtics are getting good minutes from Greg Stiemsma, who has 6 points and 6 rebounds in 9 minutes. Wizards are shooting 12 percent (3 for 25).

End of 1st, Celtics 27, Wizards 12: Strong opening 12 minutes for the Celtics, who apparently missed playing at the Garden during their eight-game road trip. Celtics made 12 of 19 shots (63 percent), and have held the Wizards to just 3 for 22 (14 percent).

1st quarter, 2:10, Celtics 23, Wizards 11: How's Bradley's night been? Trailing a 2-on-1 fast break behind Rondo and Brandon Bass, he's in the right place when Bass can't control Rondo's pass. Bradley catches it in mid-air and lays it in. He's still perfect on the night, and his 15 points are already a season-high; he had scored 12 twice before.

1st quarter, 5:52, Celtics 17, Wizards 8: Bradley can't be stopped. He's made all six of his shots, including a 3-pointer, and has 13 of the Celtics' 17 points.

1st quarter, 9:15, Celtics 10, Wizards 2: Spot starter Avery Bradley has already made an impact, scoring three quick baskets for 6 points. Rajon Rondo has assisted on three of the four Celtics' field goals.

Pregame: Excited crowd in the house for this one. Good to see someone is.
