Final: Celtics 115, Knicks 111 OT

Final: Celtics 115-111: Rajon Rondo finishes with an amazing 18 points, 17 rebounds and 20 assists. He missed 13 shots but he made the plays down the stretch as the Celtics win their fourth straight game.

Overtime, 10.4, Celtics 115-109: It looks like the Celtics are going to hold on after a 7-0 run in overtime. Jeremy Lin is 1-for-7 shooting in overtime and has 14 points on 6 of 16 field goals.

Overtime, 3:52, Tied at 105: Carmelo Anthony missed a 20 footer at the buzzer and the two teams are now slugging it out in overtime. Five players in double figures for New York, four for Boston.

Fourth quarter, 4.9, Tied at 103: Paul Pierce just sank a contested 3-pointer to tie the game. He has 34 points. Knicks ball.

Fourth quarter, 35.4, Knicks 101-100: Remember when we mentioned that Carmelo Anthony would be a factor. He has scored the Knicks' last 6 points, including a jumper to give New York the lead. He has 23 points. Jeremy Lin has 12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Rajon Rondo has a triple double (18 assists) but has also missed 12 shots.

Fourth quarter, 2:07, Celtics 96-95: Linsanity has suddenly come to life with 6 consecutive points, including an uncontested 3-pointer to bring the Knicks with within 1 point. The Celtics have been solid but fouled way too much early in the quarter, putting the Knicks to the free throw line. A key play occurred when Lin lost the ball only to beat Paul Pierce to the ball and then streak for a layup.

Fourth quarter, 7:03, Celtics 88-82: New York is on a 17-8 run but the Celtics are making the plays to hold onto the league. Their defense in the second half has been stellar. Carmelo Anthony may be a factor down the stretch. He was hit in the face area on a reach in by Mickael Pietrus and didn't appreciate it. He was visibly upset.

Fourth quarter, 8:40, Celtics 85-78: The Knicks are making a run using their bench, which has scored 39 of their points. Steve Novak has canned four 3-pointers while Baron Davis has spelled Jeremy Lin and scored 8 points with six assists. Rajon Rondo is still one rebound away from a triple double.

End of third quarter, Celtics 80-72: New York climbs back into the game with a 7-0 run to end the quarter, including a 3-pointer from Steve Novak, who has three for the game. The Celtics are being led by Paul Pierce, who has 25 points and Rajon Rondo, who has 13 points, 15 assists and 9 rebounds.

Third quarter, 1:32, Celtics 80-65: Wow, the Celtics are on a stirring run, having outscored the Knicks 29-9 run in the quarter while Rajon Rondo has 13 points, 15 assists and 9 rebounds. Paul Pierce has 15 points in the period while the Knicks are 4-for-15 shooting in the quarter with five turnovers.

Third quarter, 8:49, Tied at 60: Celtics are always caused two New York turnovers and are running their offense with a better flow, getting a 3-pointer from Paul Pierce the even the game. The Knicks have 16 turnovers while Jeremy Lin has 4 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds.

Halftime, Knicks 56-51: It's a minor miracle that the Celtics are so close. They allowed the Knicks to make 13 of 19 shots in the second quarter and trailed by as many as 12. But they ended the half on an 11-4 run in the last 3 minutes, helped by New York turnovers. The Knicks committed nine in the quarter. Carmelo Anthony has 12 points for the Knicks while Brandon Bass has 12 for the Celtics.

Second quarter, 2:55, Knicks 52-43: Celtics are going through another offensive drought while the Knicks are clicking on all cylinders. New York is shooting 62.5 percent and are 11-for-15 shooting in the quarter. That's a byproduct of poor defense. Paul Pierce and Brandon Bass each have 10 points while Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire each have 10 for New York. The New York bench has outscored its Boston counterparts 21-9.

Second quarter, 8:56, Knicks 38-36: The teams are trading baskets but the Celtics still haven't figured out how to stop the Knicks, who are shooting 56.5 percent and have 19 points from their bench. Jeremy Lin hit an off-balance runner and has 2 points on 1-for-3 shooting. Paul Pierce leads Boston with 10 points.

End of first quarter, Knicks 29-27: Each teams exchange 12-0 runs but it ends up being a terrible defensive quarter for the Celtics, who allow the Knicks to shoot 50 percent, score 10 points in the paint and get 14 points from the bench. Paul Pierce leads the Celtics with 10 points and five rebounds.

First quarter, 2:47, Celtics 21-20: Knicks are on an 8-0 run as the Celtics are on another one of their scoring droughts. Carmelo Anthony leads New York with 6 points and has attempted four free throws. Paul Pierce leads Boston with 8 and Brandon Bass has 6.

First quarter, 6:51, Celtics 16-10: Defense is optional so far as both teams are going at each other with the Celtics are having ran off a 12-0 run. Paul Pierce and Brandon Bass each have 6 points while Jeremy Lin has two fouls and has been replaced by Baron Davis.
