Well it's the regular-season finale and the Celtics still have no idea if they open the playoffs Sunday at home against the Atlanta Hawks or at Philips Arena. If the Celtics win tonight and the Hawks lose to the Dallas Mavericks, it's TD Garden. Any other scenario means the series starts in Atlanta.

This will not be comparable to Tuesday when the Celtics ran out their rookies and secondary players for an ugly 78-66 win over the Miami Heat. The Celtics will go with their frontline players and Doc Rivers said before the game that they will get heavy minutes to return to rhythm.

Rajon Rondo and Mickael Pietrus will return to the lineup. Ray Allen and Greg Stiemsma will not. Rivers said Stiemsma is healthy but will get one more day of rest. Allen is questionable for Sunday's Game 1 but Rivers said he felt like Allen will play in the series.

"It's a concern, that's all I can tell you," Rivers said. "I think he's probable. In football terms isn't that a word they use when it's a chance more than 50 percent that they're gonna play? So let's use probable. He can get back. But it's the longer it may take him to play well. He's not played in a quite a while so to go from zero to 100 in the playoffs are very difficult.

"But when you put Ray on the floor, you still have to guard him. Guarding him on the floor gives us spacing."
