BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. -- Celtics guard Avery Bradley made the trip with the club to Detroit and Cleveland after X-rays were negative on his sore ribs. When he returns to the lineup is now the question.
Bradley was expected to participate in the team's shootaround at Detroit Country Day School but he nor Doc Rivers was certain whether he would play. Bradley said he got hit in the ribs by New Orleans center Brook Lopez near the conclusion of the Celtics' 90-78 loss to the Hornets.
"It's very frustrating, I've already missed a lot of games this year," he said. "And to not be able to be there for my team is frustrating."
RIvers said Bradley will have to be aware of injuries but doesn't want him to change his style. Leandro Barbosa got the start on Friday in place of the injured Bradley. He would likely start again if Bradley is unable to play.
