Kevin Garnett says flagrant foul wasn't intentional
With 8:24 remaining in the fourth quarter of Friday night's game and the Celtics up, 78-55, Kevin Garnett was ejected for giving a Flagrant-2 foul to Indiana's Tyler Hansbrough. Garnett met Hansborough at the basket and came down on his face and head with his off arm. Officials reviewed the play and ejected Garnett.
"I was firm," said Garnett. "I didn't mean to hit him in the face like that. I was actually trying to swipe the ball. It's a physical game, it's what it was, just part of the game."
Said Hansborough, "I've got nothing to say about it."
