At first, when the Ray Allen tribute video began to play, there were boos.

The boos continued as the tape continued to roll, showing highlights of the guard's time in Boston, including when he helped the Celtics win the title in 2008.

But then fans at the Garden began to stand and applaud, and soon the entire house was on its feet, giving the current Miami Heat guard a standing ovation during his first return to Boston since leaving the Celtics last year.

However, when Allen checked in around the 4:39 mark in the first quarter, there were only boos. And each time he touched the ball, more boos rained down. He buried a couple shots to more boos and few muffled cheers, and missed a couple to some cheers.

So, let's call his return mixed, at best.
