Final: Celtics 113, Suns 88

Final: Celtics 113-88: A sparkling effort following two tough losses as the Celtics coast and were able to give Kevin Garnett a night of rest. Jeff Green was stellar with 31 points on 11-for-14 shooting with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. And a rejuvenated Chris Wilcox helps out with 14 points and eight rebounds while Avery Bradley and Jason Terry each add 13. Goran Dragic led the Suns with 19 points. Jordan Crawford added 10 points in 17 minutes in his Boston debut.

Fourth quarter, 2:43, Celtics 110-82: The fans are filing out of US Airways Center but there is a vocal crowd of Celtics fans chanting "Let's go Boston" to the chagrin of the Phoenix faithful. Jeff Green has 31 points, his most as a Celtics while Chris Wilcox has 12 points and seven rebounds. Avery Bradley and Jason Terry each have 13 points.

Fourth quarter, 8:12, Celtics 89-74: The Celtics led by as many as 19 but after two uncontested layups by the Suns, Doc Rivers called timeout to settle his players. It's been a solid offensive night for the Celtics, who are shooting 53.7 percent while Phoenix is at 44.9. Goran Dragic leads Phoenix with 15 points while Jeff Green has 24.

End of third quarter, Celtics 81-67: The Celtics end the quarter on a 28-19 run to extend the lead to 14 on a night where Jeff Green can't be stopped. He is scoring on anyone Phoenix coach Lindsey Hunter throws at him. He's got 24 points on 8-for-11 shooting while Avery Bradley is breaking out of a slump with 13 points.

Third quarter, 4:10 Celtics 69-57: Phoenix cut the Celtics' lead to 5 with a 7-0 run to begin the second half but the Celtics are forcing turnovers and scoring off the Suns' questionable defense. The Celtics went on a 12-4 run to extend the lead back to 12 as Jeff Green has been brilliant with 19 points in 25 minutes. No other Celtic is in double figures.

Halftime, Celtics 53-41:It was a strong half for the Kevin Garnett-less Celtics, who shot 47.6 percent and got 15 points from the versatile Jeff Green as they led the entire first 24 minutes. The Celtics jumped out to a 16-3 lead and staved off various Phoenix runs. The Suns are shooting 39.5 percent and are led by 8 points from Goran Dragic.

Second quarter, 5:59, Celtics 43-33: The Celtics are scoring at will against the porous Phoenix defense, making 17 of 31 shots. Chris Wilcox, whom Doc Rivers said has to play better with the departure of Jason Collins, has 8 points and four rebounds. Jeff Green leads the Celtics, wearing white tonight with Phoenix in its throwback black uniforms.

End of first quarter, Celtics 28-20: Celtics led by as many as 13, Suns cut the lead to 5 and the Celtics, behind Jeff Green, made a late-quarter push. Green has 13 points and is playing like the type of player the Celtics need when Kevin Garnett is out. The Celtics shot 57.9 percent in the quarter but committed seven personal fouls. Goran Dragic has 6 for Phoenix.

First quarter, 5:09, Celtics 16-9: The Suns are on a 6-0 run, thanks to 6 points from Markeiff Morris and the Celtics are 1 for their past 4 from the field, although they are still 7 for 11. Courtney Lee has 5 points for the Celtics while Jeff Green is taking advantage of his matchup with the slower Luis Scola with 6 points.

First quarter, 7:50, Celtics 13-2: The Celtics are off to a rousing start despite the absence of Kevin Garnett. The Celtics speed without Garnett is bothering the Suns, who who their first basket at the 8:18 mark. The Celtics are 6-for-7 shooting with one turnover. Phoenix is 1-for-6 with three turnovers.
