The Celtics return home after a successful two-game road trip with wins in Atlanta and Charlotte. Boston will try to avenge a 95-88 loss to the Grizzlies on Nov. 4 at FedEx Forum when Jerryd Bayless was unstoppable in the final quarter. Jeff Green scored 22 points in that earlier matchup. The Celtics have not won at home since a Nov. 11 victory over the Orlando Magic and play again at TD Garden on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Marc Gasol will not play because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. He is expected to miss two months.

Pregame notes:

• Brad Stevens had nothing but good things to say about Memphis backup center Kosta Koufos, who is averaging 6.1 points and 5.2 rebounds this season. He was acquired for big man depth from the Denver Nuggets for Darrell Arthur.

• Former Celtic Tony Allen said he has no hard feelings against Boston for allowing him to leave via free agency three years ago.

• The Celtics will take Thanksgiving Day off but will have morning shootaround on Friday. Stevens said the team needs more practice time and that will occur in December, when the Celtics have just three road games.

• Keith Bogans did not make the trip to Charlotte but was working out on the treadmill and could be available tonight. Bogans has played in just two games this season.
