The Celtics return home briefly to face the best team in the NBA after a difficult 0-3 road trip where they were beaten soundly by Minnesota and Houston before fighting valiantly against the San Antonio Spurs. Jared Sullinger will remain in the starting lineup after his 19-point, 17-rebound effort Wednesday against the Spurs. Brad Stevens admitted he grew up a fan of the Indiana Pacers and joked at the one year he isn't they have their best team in history.

• The Celtics hit the road late Friday night for Atlanta and then head to Charlotte for a Monday contest before returning home to face Memphis.

• Vitor Faverani is shooting his role shrink after playing just two minutes Wednesday against San Antonio. He did record 14 rebounds last Saturday at Minnesota.
