MEMPHIS -- The Celtics look to avoid starting their season with four straight losses, but that won't be easy against the Memphis Grizzlies, a team that, like Detroit, offers a strong front line that will be tough for the undersized Celtics to stop.

This game marks the second of a road back-to-back set for the Celtics, who are coming off a loss to the Pistons in Auburn Hills, Mich., Sunday. The Grizzlies are coming off a 111-99 loss to the Mavericks in Dallas Saturday.

Pregame notes:

• Expect rookie point guard Phil Pressey to get some playing time for the Celtics. Coach Brad Stevens hinted at that before the game.

• Stevens and Dave Joerger are both rookie NBA coaches -- and they're among the youngest in the league. At 37, Stevens is the league's youngest coach. At 39, Joerger is the third-youngest.

• From here, the Celtics will play Wednesday against the Utah Jazz at TD Garden, Friday against the Magic in Orlando, and Saturday against the Heat in Miami.
