After beating Milwaukee Tuesday with a 108-100 victory, the Celtics are looking to string together a pair of victories before heading to New York for a two-game road trip against the Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets. Pregame notes:

• Before the game, Brad Stevens said Jordan Crawford's wrist is a little bit sore, but otherwise he is good. The Celtics' guard had his left wrist taped at Thursday's practice. "I've said this many a times, if there was a pickup game somewhere and he wasn't in the NBA, he'd be playing in a pickup game," Stevens said. "It doesn't surprise me he has it taped up and ready to play."

• Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk will miss his seventh-straight game because of a sprained ankle, but Stevens said "he is close" to returning. Stevens said he will go light on practice Friday and will be out Sunday against New York, but will be day-to-day starting next week.

• Stevens had plenty of praise for Denver forward Kenneth Faried, who has posted seven double-doubles in the last 13 games. Faried is averaging 10.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season, and has pulled in 10-plus boards in 9 of the last 13 games.

• The last time the Nuggets and Celtics squared off, Denver took a 97-90 win at the Pepsi Center.
