Trade rumors are swirling at TD Garden tonight regarding a deal that would send Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee and a first-round pick to Houston for Omer Asik. Bass and Lee are active tonight and are expected to play. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said he does not involve himself in trade rumors while Lee said he is concentrating on the Pistons but understands the business. The Celtics traveled to Detroit on Nov. 3 and lost 87-77. Kelly Olynyk was Boston's leading scorer with 15 points.

• All of the Celtics besides Rajon Rondo were healthy and available to play but obviously Bass and Lee would be playing with something else on their minds.

• Detroit coach Maurice Cheeks said the Celtics are a completely different and more confident team that in the first meeting. The Pistons have notched road wins at Miami and Detroit.

• The Celtics will practice Thursday and Friday in preparation for a rare Saturday afternoon contest with the Washington Wizards.
