The Celtics lost another close one on a buzzer beater by Philadelphia 76ers guard-forward Evan Turner.
The Garden also welcomed home Hamilton native and rookie of the year favorite, Michael Carter-Williams playing his first NBA game in his home state. NCAA fans may remember Carter-Williams playing for Syracuse against the University of California when his mother received word that their house had burned down.
A couple of photos from his return home:
Fist-bumping an official before the game.
Driving and dishing to teammate Spencer Hawes in the first quarter.
He didn't have a great shooting night, going 4 for 14. Here he is being denied at the rim by Kelly Olynyk.
At 6'6" he's a good rebounder for a point guard. Here he is getting fouled by Chris Johnson (although it was called on Jared Sullinger) after crashing the boards.
A section in the upper level cheered every time his name was called. They wore red and Sixers apparel.
