'Memorial Day Massacre': Remembering the Celtics' 148-Point Outburst vs. the Lakers

Today (May 27) marks the 29-year anniversary of Game 1 of the 1985 NBA Finals, when Wedman came off the bench to to sink four 3-pointers and go 11 of 11 from the field vs. the Lakers. The Celtics beat Los Angeles, 148-114, in a game that came to be known as the Memorial Day Massacre. Boston's point total and 62 field goals made remain NBA Finals records.

You can view the box score for the game here, where you'll notice that Danny Ainge has 15 points in the first quarter. Amazingly, the Celtics went on to lose the series, 4-2.
