Celtic pride

Posted by March 17, 2006 10:33 AM

It's bad enough that Boston's playoff hopes may have sank with last night’s utterly ridiculous loss to the Heat (the Celtics are now 4.5 games out of the eighth spot), but it appears that the basketball gods are no longer on our side either.

A boat named "Celtic Pride" sank off the coast of Portland, Maine, yesterday. While the three fisherman aboard were rescued, the aptly-named boat could not be saved.

Blowing a 25-point lead. Sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic (division). It's just too strong a coincidence to ignore. Sorry Celtics fans, but it looks like your team's playoff hopes may be over.
