1996 NBA Draft Allen, seen here with UConn coach Jim Calhoun, left Connecticut after his junior season and was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the No. 5 pick, then immediately traded to the Milwaukee Bucks for the rights to Stephon Marbury and a future 1st-round pick. Celtics fans will be interested to note that Antoine Walker was selected by the Celtics with the pick after Allen.
