A partnership for the ages
It's been 43 years since Bill Russell and Red Auerbach united as Boston Celtics to form the nucleus of the greatest dynasty in NBA history. Auerbach died in October of 2006, leaving the Celtics without their great patriarch, but Russell is still very active in promoting the game he once played. A new book, "Red and Me: My Coach, My Lifelong Friend", delves into Russell and Auerbach's nearly 50-year relationship. Russell was in New York City promoting the book on Tuesday.
