A 17-point lead in the fourth quarter for the Celtics is nearly blown, but Boston holds on in the final minute to take their 11th championship in 13 years with a 108-106 victory. Sam Jones (pictured) ends his career by fouling out after scoring 24 points. Three months later, player-coach Bill Russell announces his retirement.
