The Celtics' second NBA title began the rivalry with the Lakers, though these Lakers were still in Minneapolis. Boston recorded the first ever 4-0 sweep in NBA Finals history. Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, and Bill Sharman were all elected to the All-NBA First Team.
