April 12: Eagles soar on ice

The powerhouse Boston College Eagles entered the NCAA Division I Ice Hockey Tournament as a No. 2 seed at 21-11-8, a tournament champion already and hungry for more. After defeating Minnesota and Miami (Ohio) in the Northeast Regional, the Eagles wrecked North Dakota 6-1 in the Frozen Four semifinals before demolishing Notre Dame 4-1 in the finals.
